Drs. Ryan and Monica Wohlfert A passion to develop individuals physically, athletically, and psychologically led them down their path of helping parents, children, active adults and coaches.
After graduating Summa Cum Laude in Kinesiology-Movement Science from the University of Michigan, Dr. Ryan earned another Bachelor of Science and his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the National College of Chiropractic. Wanting to stay involved in athletics, he continued his education by getting Certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA) and Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP). Dr. Ryan (known as "The Sports Doc" in his community) was the chiropractor and strength and conditioning coach at a local high school in North Carolina for four years. Dr. Ryan is Certified as a Youth Conditioning Specialist (IYCA), the first in Michigan. After graduating with honors from Praire State College, Dr. Monica earned her Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Chiropractic from the National University of Health Sciences. Because she saw the enormous benefit children could receive from chiropractic treatment, Monica earned her Certificate in Chiropractic Pregnancy and Pediatrics (CCP) through the International Chiropractic Association Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics (ICA). They strive to pass on their knowledge and experience to parents, coaches, trainers and anyone involved with children. With their education, training, and experience, they can offer the premier care and development for you and your children. Ryan and Monica have three adorable little girls, Rylee, Dylan and Kaelyn.
Dr. Sara Neinas Dr. Sara was born and raised in Muskegon, MI. After high school she attended Michigan State University where she received a Bachelors of Science degree in Physiology. She continued her education at Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas earning her Doctorate of Chiropractic. She is in the process of completing her pediatric and pregnancy certification from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. She has a passion to educate people on how to live healthy lives through chiropractic care and nutrition from birth on. Dr. Sara enjoys being outside and spending time with her family and friends. She currently lives in Lansing, with her fiancé, Travis.
Dr. Terresa Plowman Dr. Terresa started in chiropractic at the age of 18 working for an exciting and eccentric doctor in Owosso, MI. As a Chiropracitc Assistant, she helped open and train five offices and during this time, witness uncountable healing miracles of Chiropractic Care. After 7 years as an assistant, she made the leap to Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas and eventually, moved back to MI. Dr. Terresa is married with two wonderful boys, Caden and Jackson. Her future ambitions include furthering her education and helping change and touch as many lives as she can!
Dr. Tom Sandberg Dr. Tom grew up in Lansing and attended college at Ferris State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology. His grandmother, who was a reflexologist, gave him the passion to help others. After working in the hospital setting for two years he took a soul-searching, six-month bicycle trip across South America. Upon returning and talking to a chiropractor, he pursued his need to help heal at Life University School of Chiropractic, outside Atlanta, GA. He practiced for six years in Austin, TX. He gradually developed a sense of urgency to come back home to Michigan with his family and friends. He has come full circle now, and is back in Lansing to help those around him be happier and healthier through natural chiropractic care. In his private life, Dr. Tom is passionate about family, religion, sports and the outdoors.
Annette Humphries Massage TherapistAnnette loves being a Massage Therapist! She earned her Associates Degree from Lansing Community College. She also graduated from Blue Heron Academy with two degrees, medical and manual massage therapy. She then passed the National Board Diplomat. Her specialties include sports injuries, spinal injuries, whiplash, and knee injuries as well asl relaxation massage. During the spring, summer, and fall, Annette loves being outdoors, kayaking, hiking, and traveling.
Amy Wirth Office ManagerAmy is a graduate of Michigan State University with a major in Hospitality Business. She worked in the hotel industry for 8 years, but once she and her husband, Adam, decided to start a family, she quicky decided that the hours of the hotel business would not fit their lifestyle. So in May 2007, Drs. Ryan and Monica approached Amy about being the Office Manager at Total Health Chiropractic. Since she was already a patient here and loved the atmosphere, she quickly jumped on the chance to work at this office. Amy and Adam have an adorable son, Aidan, who also benefits from regular Chiropractic Care.
Lori Briedenstein Chiropractic Assistant/ReceptionistLori was born and grew up in the Lansing and Grand Ledge area and has remained in Michigan her entire life. Currently, she is living in the Waverly area with her husband and seven year old son, Daniel. She also has 3 grown daughters; Amanda (mother of the most beautiful granddaughter in the entire world!), Ashley who is serving as an MP in the US Army, and Amy who recently graduated from Culinary School. Lori has a business degree in Human Resource Mgmt and has been at Total Health Chiropractic for since 2004. She enjoys advocating for healthy lifestyle changes in families, especially in children. She is very active with her family, church, and community.
Krishana Clark Chiropractic Assistant/ReceptionistKrishana born and raised in Southfield, Michigan, a suburb outside of Detroit. She was raised by her mother and has one older sister, Saisha. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology Exercise Science with cognates in Communications and Health promotions. She really loves sports and fitness. In the near future, she plans on personal training and, possibly, applying to chiropractic college (Life University).
Erica Green Chiropractic Assistant/ReceptionistErica is proof that Chiropractic works! Before receiving Chiropractic Care, she lived with headaches, migraines, allergies, dizziness, and stomach pains daily. Currently, Erica is going to Michigan State University to become a Spanish teacher. She loves language and culture. And right now, Erica and her husband live in the Lansing area.
Cara Nemeth Insurance Department Cara grew up in St. Louis, MI and moved to Lansing in 2002 with her best friend. When she began working at Total Health Chiropractic in 2003, she knew nothing about Chiropractors or alternative living/medicine. Now that’s all she knows! She began working as a chiropractic assistant, trained on the front desk, and most recently moved into the insurance department which landed her the title “Insurance Biller”! Chiropractic’s changed her mind set and lifestyle to a healthy approach. Cara has a 4 year old daughter, Cadence who’s been adjusted since birth. Aside from working, she enjoys thrifty shopping at anytime, dancing, the company of friends and family, and experiencing life through the eyes of her daughter. Her goal for next year is to run a 5k… she's never ran a day in my life!
Katrina Shaw Chiropractic AssistantKatrina was born and raised in beautiful Traverse City, Michigan. Her father is a chiropractor, so she and her two older sisters grew up experiencing first hand the benefits of Chiropractic Care. In May of 2008, Katrina graduated from Hope College with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology; she moved to Lansing shortly thereafter to gain work experience. She is also employed by Community Based Interventions’ children’s program, assisting disabled kids and their families to improve their quality of life and achieve their optimum independence. In her spare time, Katrina loves to read, travel, and visit with family and friends.
