I would like people to say when I am gone that I was a person of integrity and that I made a difference in a lot of peoples' lives.
Like you, my goal is to help as many people as I can to have the best lives they can. I was a Sunday school teacher for all different ages for 30 years, and led small groups - Bible study groups, kids' groups, and many Christian diet groups that stressed the whole person - spiritual, nutrition, exercise, emotional wellness, etc.
Currently I am a mentor for two college women and some other young mothers and I think I learn more than they do! I hope to do this for many years to come. I love watching people reach their potential as they work through problems and situations themselves and become strong parents, friends, employees.
For my legacy, I want people to remember me for my strength to overcome some very difficult life situations with strength of character and a strong faith in God; and that even in the worst of times, that I helped them to deal with similar situations in their personal lives, and that I helped others to learn how to deal with situations in their professional lives. I am referring to mental illness which touched my family.
I want people to remember me for the beauty I brought to their lives through music. I am a church organist and choir director.
I want people to remember me as a fun loving person ready to enjoy life and all it has to offer. I want people to remember me as a good listener, a compassionate friend, a trusted colleague.
